Casa Libre en la Solana is celebrating being open for 10 years in Tucson with a Gala on February 22nd. The Gloo Factory printed shirts, stickers, invitations and perfect bound journals for the event.

In collaboration with immigration lawyers, social workers, and non-profit organizations, the Gloo Factory produced a booklet for families with undocumented parents. The booklet contains information in both English and Spanish about how to be prepared if a parent is taken into immigration custody, if they are in detention, and if they are deported. Gloo Factory artist, Karno, provided custom illustrations for the book.
The book is 40 pages, with a 90# cover and bound with black wire coils.
We just finished a batch of 1,000 yard signs for Border Action Network that are part of the Revitalize Not Militarize Border Communities campaign. The signs are available through BAN and here at the Gloo Factory. We hope to see them popping up around Tucson soon!
Oversize screen used to print on large plexiglass panel.
Working with Tucson-based Creative Machines, the Gloo Factory screen printed a large plexiglass panel that was to be used for an interactive display in a children’s museum.
The project required us to build an oversized light table to expose a large screen that would fit over the panel.
After exposing and washing the screen, it was mounted onto a large work table for the printing. Each color was printed separately, by blocking off other parts of the screen and only applying ink to the need area.
The final product looks like a large circuit board. Creative Machines installed various lights and knobs onto the panel, making it an interactive learning display about circuitry.
We’ve recently published a small, 8-page illustrated booklet that shows the benefits of union jobs and businesses. A Spanish translation is coming soon. You can purchase copies of the booklet from our online store at PeacesSupplies.org.
In collaboration with the Downtown Warehouse Arts District, the Gloo Factory is printing and installing sings on many of the historic warehouses located in downtown Tucson and the area north of the tracks. Each sign has a QR code that will take you to a web page that talks about the history of the building. Look for the signs we’ve just put up along Toole Ave and 6th Ave/6th St areas.
